FIELD: nuclear physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of detecting reactor antineutrinos using solid-state scintillators involves using for registration of thermal neutrons an inorganic scintillator based on zinc sulphide with addition of nuclei which form heavy charged particles during neutron capture. Besides, the energy of the positron is recovered from the signals participating in the instantaneous coincidence, after which the energy of the reactor antineutrino is calculated.

EFFECT: high efficiency of detecting electronic antineutrinos and measuring their energy.
