FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to otorhinolaryngology and can find application in olfactory function screening in patients with otorhinolaryngological pathology, as well as in neurology for the purpose of early detection of neurological neurodegenerative diseases. Test system is a set of two devices, each of which includes a two-sided cylindrical body divided into two halves by a partition to prevent mixing of odours. Inside each of the halves there is a cotton tampon separately impregnated with this aromatic base, and a retention agent for this aromatic base. End parts of the housing are made conically narrowing. At the same time in each of these parts there is a porous rod of pressed cotton, which is coaxially placed with a cap to prevent evaporation of the aromatic base, protruding from the top of the cone in the form of a tip impregnated with the aromatic base. Aromatic base impregnating the cotton swabs inside the devices are flavouring agents in the form of odorous substances with odours of vanilla, orange, menthol and in form of 9% solution of acetic acid. Holding agent is a mixture of dipropylene glycol and butylene glycol for odorous substances and a mixture of water, glycerol and fine silica gel for acetic acid.
