FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, particularly otoneurology. What is involved is examination for the presence of vestibular disorders and clinical signs of neurodegenerative disorders. Sniffin-Sticks test is used to appraise thresholds of olfaction, discrimination and olfactive identification by points. If the threshold of olfaction is 2.5±2.5, discrimination - 8.6±4.5, identification - 8.0±4.5 in a combination with the presence of vestibular disorders and clinical signs of neurodegenerative diseases, Parkinson disease is diagnosed, while the threshold of olfaction 6.8±2.1, dicrimination - 14.4±1.8, identification - 14.6±1.3 and unchanged vestibulometry values show essential tremor.
EFFECT: technique extends the range of products for differential diagnosis of Parkinson disease and essential tremor.
