FIELD: fire alarm.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of control of fire alarm means and can be used for testing for resistance to air flows of fire detectors during their manufacture, operation and repair. Fire detector is placed in the channel of the device for testing the fire detector, and when determining its operation, the air flow is moved along the channel, changing the air flow rate and providing an air flow rate corresponding to a limiting operational air flow rate for the placed fire detector, wherein after providing the air flow rate corresponding to the maximum operational air flow rate for the placed fire detector, the fire detector is re-tested under the same conditions, wherein during repeated testing performing the airflow movement along the channel with simultaneous introduction into the channel of a factor simulating a hazardous fire factor (FSHFF) generated by the FSHFF generator, wherein rate of air flow, pumped by the air flow supply unit, is varied and determined in the above channel by air flow rate control unit designed with the ability to change the air flow rate from 0 to 50 m/s. Also, at each change in the air flow rate, first, only the air flow is moved along the channel, after which, when the air flow moves along the channel, the FSHFF is simultaneously introduced into the channel, after which the FSHFF is output from the channel.

EFFECT: detection of a fire detector, which generates a false operation when exposed to a high-speed air flow, the speed of which is equal to or less than the limiting operational air flow rate for this fire detector, as well as determination of the limiting operational air flow rate for the fire detector, at which the fire detector does not generate false actuations and generates actuations at simultaneous action on it of the factor imitating the hazardous factor of fire, and high-speed air flow.
