FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, more specifically to production of anti-corona coatings on the surface of current-conducting articles of any shape, which can be used in various fields of electrical engineering. Application of the method of laser texturing of a surface as a method of obtaining a coating of a high-voltage electrical article with reduced losses for corona discharge consists in the following. Said surface is exposed to a focused beam of pulsed laser radiation with pulse duration in the nanosecond range. Said beam is displaced relative to said surface according to a predetermined law. Characteristics of said laser radiation and parameters of said relative displacement are selected so as to form on said surface a multimodal roughness with dimensions in nanometre and micrometre ranges simultaneously.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase corona ignition voltage and reduce power losses for corona discharge while maintaining rated voltage in power transmission lines in conditions of atmospheric precipitation.
