FIELD: thermal power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: methods for hydrophobization and changing surface wetting used to intensify heat transfer during condensation of water vapor. To form a superhydrophobic surface structure, a rough texture is created on the heat transfer surface. A microrelief is formed by treating the surface with a flow of abrasive particles at a speed v of at least 50 m/s. The surface is cleaned by washing in an alkali solution and then in distilled water. A nanofluid consisting of carbon nanoparticles less than 100 μm in size, rubber and acetone in a mass ratio of 1:10:1000 is applied to the cleaned surface.

EFFECT: increase in the heat transfer coefficient during dropwise condensation is ensured.
