FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for texturisation of electro-erosion of surfaces, mainly, products with complex profile. Multimodal roughness system is formed with characteristic dimensions simultaneously in several ranges by means of the exposure mode controlled by means of a computer system to create a given pattern in the form of a system of spaced apart recesses. Electro-erosion unit is used, in which replaceable electrode-tool is fixed, which is performed with two working surfaces from grains of powder metal. Working surface of both ends of the tool is made in the form of convex elements formed by prototyping, the shape of which depends on the complexity of the profile of the surface of the treated material and the specified effect of the oil consumption. Roughness on surface of electrode-tool is in micrometer range, and on elements of convex shape on working end surface of electrode-tool – in millimeter range.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a complex configuration of developed roughness on the surface of articles, which provides high oil capacity.
