GUIDE WIRE HAVING ENLARGED DISTAL SECTION MADE USING MICROTECHNOLOGY Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61M25/09

Abstract RU 2832618 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to intravascular guidewire devices used to guide or guide catheters or other interventional devices to a target anatomical location in a patient's body. Intravascular device comprises a core, an outer tube, a distal coil, a proximal coil, as well as a bushing coil. Core has a proximal section and a distal section. Outer tube is connected to the core so that the distal section of the core extends into the outer tube and is surrounded by said outer tube, wherein the outer tube and the core form an annular gap between the inner surface of the outer tube and the distal section of the core located in the outer tube. Distal coil surrounds a portion of the distal section of the core. Proximal coil is located proximally to the distal coil and surrounds a portion of the distal section of the core. Bushing coil is located on top of at least a portion of one of the distal coil and the proximal coil or both. Distal coil, a proximal coil and a bushing coil fill at least a portion of the annular gap. Proximal coil has a lower radiopacity than the distal coil. Outer diameter of the outer tube is greater than the outer diameter of the proximal section of the core.

EFFECT: invention minimizes the annular gap between the guide wire and compatible catheters of certain dimensions and is also capable of providing sufficient flexibility and torque transfer along its length.
