FIELD: fire-fighting materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rigid sheet material based on liquid glass, which can be used to make lamellae of fire-prevention grids, non-combustible panels for cabinets and safes. Fire-fighting material based on liquid glass includes outer covers from painting fiberglass and a core from dried liquid glass, wherein the molar fiberglass plates are impregnated with an aqueous alkaline solution of Na2O(SiO2)n and a calcium chloride solution (CaCl2) and contain a protective coating of epoxy adhesive with an amine type curing agent, and the core of liquid glass is formed by layer-by-layer application of an aqueous alkaline solution of Na2O(SiO2) n onto the outer coating of impregnated and dried painting glass, with drying of each layer, except for the latter, on which the second sheet of impregnated and dried painting glass cloth is laid, and is covered with three layers of aqueous alkaline solution of Na2O(SiO2)n without layer-by-layer drying.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain material with denser, strong non-combustible foam with low thermal conductivity.
