FIELD: new compositions containing soluble glass, fireproof laminates including a bulging interlayer based on soluble glass, as well as method for production of such laminates.
SUBSTANCE: the mentioned laminates are obtained by pouring out of the aqueous solution of soluble glass on the surface of the first glass panel and subjecting of this solution to drying so as to obtain a transparent layer. Then a second panel of glass is placed over the first panel, obtaining a laminate. When such laminates are exposed to fire, the intermediate layer bulges and gets expanded forming a foam. The foam preserves the structural integrity of laminate for longer time, thus producing a barrier for propagation of fire.
EFFECT: improved fireproof qualities of laminates.
