FIELD: fire protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire-fighting equipment and can be used to extinguish forest fires or wood materials characterized by different heat generation. Sodium silicate or liquid glass is mixed with the general formula Na2O(3,3-3,5)SiO2(16,1-16,8)H2O, blast furnace slag of a fraction of 100-500 microns, taken in an amount of 5.0-10 wt. % of sodium silicate. Then water is supplied for mixing from a natural reservoir in an amount that provides a mass ratio of liquid glass to water equal to (30-60):(70-40), respectively, with the formation of a fire-fighting mixture with a density of 1.30-1.35 g/cm3. In this case, the mixing of liquid glass, blast furnace slag and water is carried out either in the container of the fire extinguishing device, or immediately before filling the container of the corresponding fire equipment with the prepared mixture.

EFFECT: product is obtained with increased efficiency if it is possible to adjust the composition at the place of ignition, depending on the type of fire.
