FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of green technologies, specifically to a cyclic carbon method, comprising a first step, at which hydrogen and carbon monoxide is reacted to form methane and water, a second step in which methane is decomposed into carbon and hydrogen, and a third step in which carbon is used as a reducing agent and/or carbon is used in carbon-containing material as a reducing agent in a chemical process for producing carbon monoxide and a reduced substance. It is proposed to use methane obtained at the first step at the second step, use carbon obtained at the second step at the third step, and use carbon monoxide obtained at the third step at the first step.
EFFECT: providing a cyclic method of producing carbon as a reducing agent without CO2 emissions, reducing the need for hydrogen and electric power.
