FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of preparing a catalyst on a modular carrier of a cellular structure for simultaneous removal of nitrogen oxides and combustion of soot during neutralization of exhaust gases. Method of preparing a block catalyst involves successive application of a catalyst composition of the composition CeMnOx from a pre-formed sol into channels of a block ceramic cordierite carrier with a cellular structure using ultrasonic treatment at the stage of interaction of sol with surface of channels of unit, with subsequent drying of the impregnated block at 60 °C and heat treatment with temperature increase at rate of 10 °C and holding at 500 °C–700 °C for removal of solvents and formation of nano-domain structure of active surface, with molar ratio of 1:1 of oxide components of catalyst composition Ce:Mn, and subsequent application of Ag by impregnation from ammonia solution of silver nitrate in amount of 1 wt.% in terms of total content of CeMnOx oxides in channels of ceramic support.
EFFECT: providing a simple method of preparing a block catalyst with formation of an even coating on walls of channels of the block and with preservation of the nano-domain structure of the active composition on the inner surface of the channels.
