FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to devices and methods for measuring lung parameters of a user. Device comprises a sampling unit with an exhaled air sampling port, a user feedback component, a pressure sensor located in the sampling unit and a gas sensor for detecting the analyte of interest in the expired air of the sample, as well as a processor connected to the sensors and to the feedback component. User is prompted to exhale the expired sample air into the sampling unit with a constant flow rate or constant pressure when the expired sample air is exhaled. Change in the pressure of the expired air of the sample is measured. Pressure variation is correlated with flow rate. Measurement is obtained by means of a gas sensor. Measurement is correlated with the analyte of interest. User’s lung parameter is calculated by the processor based on the flow rate. Using a feedback component, an indicator is provided, which is proportional to the measured pressure change, so that the user is recommended to keep the indicator constant.
EFFECT: facilitating sampling of air exhaled by a user for optimal detection of physiological parameters in exhaled air with reduction of erroneous measurements.
