AUTOMATED SPIROGRAM ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B5/91 A61B5/08

Abstract RU 2621393 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: exhaled air flow from the subject airway is received on exhalation. The exhalation volume is measured during exhalation by the adopted exhaled air flow. A graph is created that represents the exhalation volume during exhalation, the schedule has the form. The accuracy of the measured exhalation volume during exhalation is determined when assessing the lung function of the subject. Lung function characteristics of the subject are evaluated based on the graph form in response to determination that the measured exhalation volume is valid. The evaluation stage includes graph form comparison with a set of standards forms. The set of standards forms includes standard forms for each of the plurality of features of pulmonary diseases. Form characteristics for the graph are determined: inclination angle of the first said graph section, inclincation and/or a derivative of the second said graph section, concavity of the first said graph curve, convexity of the second said graph curve or graph smoothness measures. The system comprises: means (144) for exhaled air flow reception from the respiratory tract of the subject during exhalation; means (140) for measurement of exhalation volume during exhalation adopted by the exhaled air flow; means (111) for graph creation; means (112) for determination of measured exhalation volume reliability, based on the exhalation volume during exhalation; means (114) for estimation of lung function, based on the characteristics graph form.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to evaluate the subject lung function by assessing the reliability of measurements, comparing the graph form with a set of standards forms, identifying the most significant characteristics of the graph form.
