FIELD: ships and other floating facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigation, namely to methods and structures allowing to clear ice from the fairway for passage of ships, and is intended for periodically freezing water bodies. Fairway cleaning vessel comprises a propeller installed in front of it and rollers pivotally mounted on the vessel hull above the ice and a toothed knife for cutting and breaking ice, U-shaped tray is installed from below on the hull of the ship under ice, which is made with possibility of resting with rollers on lower edge of ice, which are made with possibility of lowering on ice surface and their expansion due to hydraulic cylinders. Blades are arranged on sides of the vessel under the ice and can be turned by levers driven by hydraulic cylinders. By means of hydraulic cylinders the blades are moved apart under the ice and ice blocks are moved beyond the fairway boundaries, as well as the distance of ice lumps displacement from the fairway edge at turn of the blades with the help of levers driven by hydraulic cylinders.
EFFECT: protection of vessel hull from force effect of ice during cleaning of fairway, as well as exclusion of broken ice penetration under propellers of vessels passing along fairway.
