FIELD: ships and other floating facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to navigation in conditions of continuous ice cover, and namely to methods and structures allowing to clear ice from fairway for passage of ships, and is intended for freezing water bodies. Fairway cleaning vessel with a cone-shaped floating blade installed on it in front by means of a hinge, inside which a ballast tank and a floating tank are installed, and on the surface of the cone-shaped blade from below and from above there are fixed shields, to which movable shields are attached by means of hinges, which are actuated by hydraulic cylinders. To hovercraft, for example, of chamber type, teeth or cutters are attached to cut a slot and a furrow; after that, when the ship passes over the slot, it partially blows water from under the ice, forming an air bubble. Ice under the action of its weight and the weight of the air-cushion vessel and due to the formed air bubble under the ice breaks off along the cuts. When the broken ice moves to the fairway edges, water is poured into the dump ballast tank, where the dump position is adjusted by changing the amount of water in the ballast tank, final removal of broken ice behind fairway edges is performed by a movable shield rotating around a hinge, and movable shields, which do not remove broken ice, are folded along the direction of movement of the vessel.

EFFECT: protection of ship hulls against force effect of ice during fairway cleaning.
