FIELD: construction materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction materials, in particular to a method of producing granular filler for light concrete and granular filler produced using this method. Method of making granulated filler for light concrete includes steps of soaking in water and mixing crushed shives particles weighing 30-70% of the mass of the produced filler with a shell rock weighing 20-50% of the mass of the produced filler to form a primary mixture. Then one adds to the formed primary mixture water-soluble glue weighing from 10 to 25% of the mass of the produced filler and mixes it to form the secondary mixture. Then the formed secondary mixture is passed through a screw grinder to form jets of the mechanically treated secondary mixture and the jets are cut to form semi-finished products of filler granules. At the final stage, the semi-finished products of the granules are dried to obtain a granular filler.

EFFECT: invention reduces environmental load on the environment, increases strength of granules, reduces thermal conductivity of granules and increases adhesion strength of granules with concrete.
