SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a rod element for generating an aerosol and an article for generating aerosol. Rod element for aerosol generation comprises a susceptor body in the form of a rod and an aerosol-forming gel contained in the susceptor body in the form of a rod. Susceptor housing comprises bottom, side wall and hole located opposite to bottom. Aerosol-forming gel is retained inside the susceptor body in the axial direction of the aerosol-generating rod element by at least one forced fixation device. Susceptor body side wall is corrugated, at least one of at least one forced fixation means is made in the form of the susceptor body directed inward seam, wherein the seam is located adjacent to the end section of the susceptor body, wherein the end section is located opposite the bottom of the susceptor body, wherein the seam is formed by the end part of the susceptor body side wall bent inward.

EFFECT: providing a holding force between the susceptor and the hollow tube, as a result, this holding force supports the positioning of the cup-shaped susceptor in the hollow tube and prevents displacement of cup-shaped susceptor in hollow tube after placement of cup-shaped susceptor in hollow tube.
