FIELD: fodder production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fodder raw material processing and can be used in the production of extruded full-fat milk thistle cake for farm animals and birds. Method is characterized by the fact that milk thistle grains are preliminarily moistened and maintained for at least 12 hours until grain moisture content is equal to 13-14%. Moistened milk thistle grains are fed into the extruder at temperature of 110-120 °C and pressure of 25-30 atmospheres, gradually increasing the grain supply rate to 19 kg/min.

EFFECT: invention usage will make it possible to increase reliability of equipment operation at production of full-fat cake of milk thistle with provision of uniform processes required for production of finished product.
