FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to drugs presented in the form of a gel for local application for treating osteoarthritis of the knee joint. Gel for treating knee osteoarthritis is prepared by mixing the ingredients in the following ratio: 50% aqueous solution of dimethylsulfoxide – 100 g, hyaluronic acid – 4 g, capsaicin – from 0.05 g to 0.1 g, vanillin – 4 g.
EFFECT: as a result of the conducted studies using the proposed method, a stable long-term therapeutic effect is obtained in the patients, pains are reduced and the functions of the knee joint are improved, which generally improved the quality of life of the patients; patients showed positive dynamics of WOMAC index.
