FIELD: robotics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of robotics and can be used in mobile robotic systems intended for investigation of territories of industrial and municipal structures and transmission of investigation results for further processing by an operator. Mobile robot comprises a mobile module with equipment, a battery and a communication channel between the mobile module and the base, wherein the communication channel is made in the form of a cable wound on a coil mounted on the module, the outer end of the cable is connected to the base, and the internal end of the cable is connected by means of plugs to the corresponding sockets of the module. At the same time the coil is made with internal winding, and the above sockets are installed in the end face of the coil body, at that plugs and sockets are made with possibility of their disconnection as a result of cable tension at its complete winding from the coil.
EFFECT: use of the invention increases the range of the mobile robot due to external power supply at the initial section of its movement.
