FIELD: agriculture; performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for surface hardening of a working member of an agricultural machine. Layers of three-layer film are successively synthesized on the surface of said working element made from polycrystalline steel by corpuscular alloying. Said three-layer film comprises the following layers: a titanium nitride layer, a tungsten dinitride layer and a titanium nitride layer. At that, titanium and tungsten targets are successively sputtered with nitrogen ions with radiation dose (1.8-2.4)⋅1016 ion/cm2, at voltage and current value of gas discharge – Vd=380 V and Id=0.5 A, at voltage and current value on each specified target – Vt=2 kV and It=60 mA and at voltage and current value on said working element of agricultural machine – Vp=20 kV and Ip=10 mA.

EFFECT: increasing the service life of the working element of an agricultural machine.
