FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine, namely to reproductology, obstetrics. In the morning, vaginal smears are taken to determine the phase of the oestrous cycle. Female rats at the stage of late oestrus are killed within 1-2 hours after taking smears, opened and, having separated the oviducts from the ovary and uterine horn, each fallopian tube is placed in physiological solution t 37 °C. On heated table t 37-38 °C, a dilated ampullary portion of the oviduct is opened to extract a mucous lump containing cumulus-oocyte complexes.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain cumulus-oocyte complexes of female rats in a natural cycle without using exogenous gonadotropins, enables to standardize the procedure for producing cumulus-oocyte complexes of female rats, increase the percentage of successful extraction of oocytes and obtain the most complete picture of the functioning of the reproductive system of laboratory animals.
