SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation for determination of rail transport speed. Device for determining parameters of rail vehicle motion additionally comprises a second half-wave rectifier, RS-trigger and OR element, frequency divider output is connected to the second inductance coil outputs, located between the first and third inductance coils, outputs of which are connected to inputs of first and second half-wave rectifiers, respectively, outputs of which are connected to inputs of OR element, output of which is connected to stop input of N-bit binary pulse counter and input of delay element, wherein the output of the first half-wave rectifier is connected to the S-input of the RS trigger, and the output of the second one is connected to the R-input of the RS trigger, the outputs of which are outputs of the unit for determining the direction of movement.

EFFECT: possibility of determining the direction of movement and speed of a rail vehicle.
