FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sea freight. Method of verifying weight of loaded sea container using radio-frequency identification consists in attachment to container of RFID-tag. Information on gross weight of loaded container is recorded on RFID-tag. Information is transmitted during scanning to a control station. Forklifts of the container cargo assembly warehouse are equipped with an on-board weighing system. RFID-tags are glued to the weighed packages, on which information on gross weight is recorded when the container is equipped with cargo during loading. To determine the gross weight of the loaded container, the information on the gross weight of the cargo places is scanned and by summation the total gross weight of the cargo batch is determined, which is added to the known tare weight of the empty sea container.
EFFECT: possibility to exclude intermediate operation of loaded sea container weighing in port and to increase speed of cargo handling.
