FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing gas-filled polyacrylimides (PAI) based on polyacrylamide compositions used in moulding articles and materials for machine building and, in particular, elements of vehicles in shipbuilding, aircraft engineering and sports equipment. Method involves foaming a granulate made from a powder mixture based on polyacrylamide (PAA), azodicarbonamide (ADC) and bis-(N,N'-dimethylcarbamide)-diphenylmethane (BDCD) with aqueous solution of oxalic acid (OA), and solidification of granulate in closed metal mould at 180 °C for 0.5-0.75 hours and at temperatures of 230-250 °C for 1.5-2 hours.
EFFECT: polyacrylimide foam obtained using said method has high thermal and heat resistance, as well as a short foam material moulding cycle.
