FIELD: polymer materials.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition for producing a foamed PVC material used as a vibration-, sound-, acoustic-, and heat-protective material in the automotive industry, shipbuilding, aviation and other industries, and to a method for producing such a material from said composition. Composition for producing a foamed PVC material consists of 100 wt.pts. polyvinyl chloride, 5 to 15 wt.pts. anhydrous oxalic acid, 3 to 15 wt.pts. azodicarbonamide, 1 to 1.5 wt.pts. zinc stearate, 10 to 15 wt.pts. diisononyl phthalate, and 10 to 50 wt.pts. methyl methacrylate with the addition of 0.5% azoisobutyronitrile. Method for producing a foamed PVC material includes mixing powdered polyvinyl chloride with azodicarbonamide, zinc stearate, and anhydrous oxalic acid in a ball mill for 1 to 1.5 hours, adding diisononyl phthalate, stirring in a high-speed stirrer for 15 to 20 minutes, adding methyl methacrylate with the addition of 0.5% azoisobutyronitrile 5 minutes before the end of stirring, moulding the finished mixture under a pressure of 1 to 2 MPa. The mould is then tightly sealed, placed in a furnace, and heated at a rate of 3 to 30°C/ min to a temperature of 180 to 210°C; the mould is held in the furnace at the end temperature for 10 to 40 min, then cooled with running water to room temperature; the mould is disassembled, and the workpiece is placed in a furnace preheated to 110°C for 5 to 20 min.

EFFECT: resulting foamed PVC material has lower density and better non-flammable properties.
