SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a yeast cell capable of expressing cytochrome P450 (CYP450) and aldoketoreductase (AKR) enzymes. Also disclosed is a two-step conversion of S-reticulin to R-reticulin using said enzymes.
EFFECT: compositions and methods of producing (R) -reticulin and its precursors are disclosed.
