FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to osteopathy, orthopaedics, dentistry, speech therapy, and can be used for manual correction of a head region. Correction is carried out sequentially, includes a complex of post-isometric relaxation technique, consisting of 9 blocks. Patient is in a prone position, and the specialist performing the procedure is at the patient’s head. When inhaling and exhaling, the patient resists the pressure of the specialist’s hands for an oral count of one to six. To relax the sublingual muscle, the pads of the four fingers of the right and left hands of a specialist bent in the proximal phalanges are placed perpendicularly in the suprahyoid group of the patient’s muscles and the pressure is applied thereon equal to the resistance force of the patient’s muscles. Patient inhales, looks at his/her feet, exhales and looks cephalically. To relax patient’s posterior short neck flexors, one hand of the specialist lies on the couch, supporting the back of the patient’s head, and the other hand presses down the patient’s chin, pressing it to the neck. Then the patient inhales, looks cephalically, then exhales and looks caudally. At this time, the specialist holds the hand pressure on the patient’s chin and follows the chin movement towards the neck. To relieve compression of the upper jaw in the dorsal direction, one hand of a specialist lies on the couch and supports the back of the patient's head, and the other hand presses the upper jaw towards the couch in the area between the nose and the upper lip. Then the patient inhales and looks cephalically, after which he exhales and looks caudally. Specialist maintains the pressure of the hand on the patient’s upper jaw, accompanying the movement of the patient’s chin in the caudal direction. Head region is corrected through a symmetrical exposure on the zygomatic bones in the caudal direction; the specialist’s hands are placed on the zygomatic bones on the right and left sides, respectively. With oral counting, the patient inhales and looks cephalically, then exhales and looks caudally, also providing resistance. Symmetrical action on zygomatic bones of upper jaw is performed by a specialist in caudal direction. Specialist’s hands are located on the left and right on the zygomatic bones from the caudal side. Patient inhales and looks caudally, then exhales and looks cephalic. Specialist applies pressure to the zygomatic bones with his hands. Correction through simultaneous pressure on the frontal bone and chin is carried out by a specialist while applying pressure in the caudal and dorsal directions, respectively. One hand of the specialist is placed on the frontal bone, and the other presses down the chin, pressing it to the neck. Patient inhales and looks cephalically, then exhales and looks caudally. Specialist applies hand pressure on the forehead and chin and follows the nodding movement of the chin towards the neck under the oral count. Head region is corrected through pressure on the frontal bone in the cephalic direction with one hand and the nasal bones are held by pinching the fingers of the other hand in the caudal direction. One hand of the specialist is placed on the frontal bone of the patient, creating pressure in the cephalic direction, and the other hand holds the nasal bones by pinching the fingers in the caudal direction. Patient inhales and looks cephalically, resisting the pressure of the specialist hand. Thereafter, the patient exhales and looks caudally while the specialist holds the hand pressure on the patient’s frontal and nasal bones. Specialist conducts relaxation through pressure on the parietal bone through the stretching of the posterior short neck flexors and the posterior deep fasciae of the neck and the thoracic spine in the caudal direction, wherein one hand of the specialist creates pressure on the parietal bone of the patient, and the other hand presses the chin of the patient, pressing it to the neck. Patient breathes in and looks cephalically, resisting pressure from the hands of a specialist. Then he exhales and looks caudally. Method of correction through the auricles is carried out by a specialist at the patient's head. Left hand fingers hold the left ear, and the right fingers hold the right ear. Specialist stretches the auricles in different directions. Sequence of the complex of the declared techniques is repeated from 1 to 5 times.
EFFECT: method is used for prevention and correction of occlusion, sound production, snoring and other pathological conditions.
