FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery and urology. Ultrasound-guided percutaneous puncture of renal cyst cavity is performed. Content of the cyst is aspirated. A renal cyst cavity is treated using radio-frequency ablation in a manual mode, with heating of the epithelial lining of the cyst cavity from 60 °C to 69 °C for 5-10 minutes, while leaving the puncture needle in the cyst cavity for the entire duration of the radiofrequency ablation session. Thereafter, the generator is switched to medium power mode and the electrode is gradually withdrawn at pitch of 1 cm.
EFFECT: method enables preventing haemorrhagic complications and recurrences following puncture treatment of solitary cysts and polycystic kidney disease.
