FIELD: sharpening cutting edges.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of using hand tools. Method of knife attachment in sharpening system includes attachment of knife in knives sharpening assembly. Knife sharpening assembly is used, which comprises a housing with a hole made in its centre. Housing includes lower and upper jaws, made with possibility of their complete envelopment with end surfaces of lower and upper planes of butt of sharpened knife, axis installed in housing hole by means of nut and passing through lower and upper jaws, and an eccentric installed in the housing bore on the axis by means of a pin, and the knife is fixed in the sharpening unit by installing the butt of the blade between the lower and upper jaws of the body, further turning the axis, eccentric rotation along the pin transverse axis and pressing the eccentric upper end face to ensure alignment of its position with the body hole for the knife fixation in the clamping position.

EFFECT: achieving accurate fixation of the sharpened knife in the housing of the knife sharpening assembly.
