FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of recycling filler from wastes of polymer composite materials, which enables to obtain a solvolysis liquid and a reinforcing filler, which can then be used to create new polymer composite materials. Proposed method for recycling filler from waste polymer composite materials containing thermosetting polymers based on cold-curing epoxy resins with a filler in the form of fiberglass includes the following stages: preparation of a polymer composite for size and placing it in a reactor, communicated with the atmosphere and equipped with a reflux condenser, with a fraction of the polymer composite material in the solution of up to 30% of the weight of the solution, in form of a solution of caustic soda in 3-aminopropanol with concentration of 6–10 wt.%, followed by heating to temperature of 180 °C, followed by holding for 1.5–2.7 hours depending on the concentration of the catalyst with constant stirring, after which the reaction mixture is cooled and the obtained products are extracted and washed.

EFFECT: reinforcing filler recycling according to this technology using 3-aminopropanol in presence of caustic soda with destruction of epoxy matrix of cold curing, wherein solvolysis time is reduced, which enables to preserve strength properties of glass fibre to a greater extent.
