FIELD: polymers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of creating a polymer binder applicable as a binding polymer layer for continuously longitudinally oriented reinforcing fibres or threads in manufacture of a bonded binder tape. Polymer binder includes a difunctional epoxy resin based on bisphenol A with a molecular weight Mn=860–1,100 10,0 to 15,4% wt., a difunctional epoxy resin based on bisphenol A with a molecular weight Mn=480–540 21,9 to 28,1% wt., a polyfunctional epoxy resin 35.8 to 43.9% wt., and a thermoplastic resin 18.5 to 26.1% wt. The thermoplastic resin constitutes an impact strength modifier and is selected from polyarylsulphone, polyethersulphone, and phenoxy resin. The binder tape includes a polymer binder 1.0 to 7.0% wt. and a fibrous reinforcing filler 93.0 to 99.0% wt. The article is made using the binder tape by vacuum infusion.

EFFECT: creation of a thermoplastic-type polymer binder containing no curing components and curing catalysts, dissoluble in a matrix binder and capable of being combined therewith in the curing process, with high viability during storage at 25°C and impact strength characteristics of the moulded PCM articles based on the binder tape according to the liquid composite moulding (LCM) technologies.
