FIELD: MEDICINE, PROSTHETICS.

SUBSTANCE: dental implant has cylinder-shaped head with straight generating line, its prismatic part or, preferably, hexagonal jut projects outside. Dental implant has blind hole with inner screw thread and rod with external screw thread that has a head in shape of truncated cone with screw thread and in turn, accomplished with another end in the shape of truncated cone. Height of hexagonal jut is 0.65 to 1.5 mm. Height of cylinder head is 0.7 to 5 mm. Cone end, which accomplishes a part of rod that has screw thread and shape of truncated cone, has an angle of approximately 120 degrees and is accomplished by flat skewed round-shaped face with diameter making 15 to 25% from diameter of part of rod supplied with screw thread. At base of cutting edge, lengthway grooves have curved outside concave rounded parts from which another curved outside convex rounded parts start, which go towards cutting edges of adjacent area.

EFFECT: decreases diameter of self-tapping part when installed into upper edge of narrow alveolar process, as well as friction during screw thread cutting.
