SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to urology. Drug is injected intraprostatically into the prostate under anaesthesia and ultrasound control. In a supine position with legs apart, 2 % lidocaine 4-6 ml for local anaesthesia is injected by a syringe with a needle into the perineum below scrotum from 3 to 4 cm. Then, under ultrasound control with the help of rectal ultrasound sensor, needle with pointed end without through hole on it and with arrangement of holes on lateral surfaces of needle, in which mandrin is inserted, is inserted into the same puncture point to reach the prostate. After that, the mandrin is removed from the needle, syringe with 2 % betamethasone solution in volume of 2 ml is attached, and an intraprostatic injection is performed 3 to 5 times with interval of 6-8 days.

EFFECT: method enables to simplify the treatment procedure with simultaneous increase in the effectiveness of treatment, achieving a stable clinical effect, expressed in reducing pain, reducing the phenomenon of infravesical obstruction, improving microcirculation and trophism of prostate tissues, and also allows to reduce procedure injures, number of relapses and side effects, makes it possible to perform procedure at outpatient level.
