FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of wood-polymer composite material and can be used in production of construction materials. Method of producing wood-polymer composite material includes pretreatment of crushed wood with particle size of 0.1-0.25 mm in glacial acetic acid for 72 hours, followed by drying to constant weight, mixing treated wood filler with high-pressure polyethylene in an extruder at temperature of 180 °C at the following ratio of components, wt. %: high-pressure polyethylene – 55, wood filler – 45.
EFFECT: proposed method reduces water absorption of the composite relative to prototype by 30 %, increases ultimate bending strength by more than 2 times with comparable tensile strength.
