FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method for processing of wood and thermopolymer waste to make railway sleepers consists in mixing the filler and the binder and forming the composite mixture. The filler is made of wood particles up to 6±2 mm thick, 15±2 mm wide, and 50±4 mm long. The binder is made of secondary thermoplastic polymers - polyethylenterephtalate, ground to the nominal size of 10 mm. The mixture is heated to 100°C at the following ratio of components: 70 wt % of wood particles, 30 wt % of polyethylene. The mixture is then heated to 200°C, moulded under a pressure of 5±1 MPa and the temperature of the mould walls of 210±5°C. The form is then clamped together for 15 minutes. The mould form must be chilled in running water for 5 minutes, followed by air convection for 15 min. The composite material is then removed and kept for 24 hours at an air temperature of 18±3°C.
EFFECT: obtaining materials with improved strength and durability.
