FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of anticorrosion materials based on volatile corrosion inhibitors and can be used in making compositions for protecting ferrous metals and articles made from them against atmospheric corrosion during transportation and storage. Method of producing the anticorrosive material involves saturation of silica gel with a volatile corrosion inhibitor, in form of a product of reaction of monoethanolamine, boric acid and copper, with the following ratio of components, wt. %: monoethanolamine 11-13, boric acid 10-11, copper 0.3-0.4, silica gel – up to 100.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase degree of protection of articles from ferrous metals from corrosion during operation, transportation and storage.
