FIELD: application of coatings.
SUBSTANCE: method of forming a corrosion-resistant wear-resistant coating on steel involves diffusion saturation of steel with nickel and copper at temperature of 1010-1100 °C for 6-7 hours in a lead melt containing the following ratio of components, wt.%: lead – 36.5-30.2, lithium – 0.5-0.8, bismuth – 33.0-24.0, nickel – 18-27, copper – 12-18, with content of nickel and copper in ratio of 3:2 respectively.
EFFECT: improved corrosion resistance and service life of articles made from steel under prolonged action of ammonia and high temperature.
