FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermoplastic polymer compositions which can be used to make medical plugs. Disclosed is a thermoplastic elastomer composition for making medical plugs, which contains: polyisobutylene with molecular weight (10-13)×104, thermoplastic – copolymer of ethylene with vinyl acetate with vinyl acetate content of 15-20 wt. %, inert filler – talc, softener – food paraffin oil, dispersant – paraffin, curing agent – di-(2-tert-butylperoxyisopropyl)-benzene, process additives – high-molecular weight silicone rubber SKTV-1 and polydimethylsiloxane PMS 1000, phenol-type antioxidant, permitted for use in food and medical industry, stearic acid is a compatibilizer, with the following ratio of components, pts. wt.: polyisobutylene – 65, thermoplastic – 25, talc – 50, softener – paraffin oil – 10, high molecular weight silicone rubber – 10, polydimethylsiloxane – 2, di-(2-tert-butylperoxyisopropyl)-benzene – 0.2, stearic acid – 0.5, paraffin – 1.5, antioxidant – 0.5.
EFFECT: composite material obtained using the proposed composition, in terms of sanitary-chemical, toxicological, physical and mechanical properties, meets the requirements for category 2b medical devices and can be used for making elastic medical plugs for sealing drugs.
