FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tools for mechanical processing, in particular to devices for precision positioning and movement of cutting tools to enable processing of precision parts with submicron accuracy on lathe, boring and other machines. Device for precision movement of cutting tool fixed on end of holder is made with possibility to change position of cutting tool due to elastic deformation of device elements under action of adjustable force created by adjusting threaded element, wherein said device is composed of two cantilever elements interconnected by their bases to make a gap between their free ends to be varied by adjusting threaded element screwed into one of cantilever elements and resting against the other cantilever element. Two cantilever elements feature different stiffness, wherein cutting tool is secured at the end of cantilever element with higher stiffness.
EFFECT: simplifying the design of the tool holder, which enables to carry out precision adjustment of the position of the tool, which is characterized by simplicity of manufacture, small dimensions, high rigidity, and elimination of static friction, possibility of installation on rotating spindle for adjustable cutter or boring head, convenience of use for turning due to possibility of unification of tail attachment with standard cutter holders.
