FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling a tracked vehicle. In forward motion, drive shaft transmits torque via splined joint to driven shaft and via gear to hypoid wheel. Hypoid wheel rotates shaft with gear, which transmits this rotation to wheel and axle. Cam cavity is located at the bottom. Half-axles are separated as much as possible, and friction clutches of both sides are engaged. Worm wheels run idle. Wheel is braked by electromagnet.
EFFECT: simplifying the design, increasing its reliability and improving operational characteristics.
