SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, choreography and sports. Method increase in the area of support on the head of the metatarsal bones in a person with different length of the metatarsal bones when performing a position on the demi-pointe, in the implementation of which a fabric elastic tread is used in the form of a sock with holes for the foot and each of the toes and silicone inlays in the form of a set of silicone inlays of six types 1A; 2B; 3C; 4D; 5E; 6F shown in Fig. 2. Sock has two pockets on the inner plantar side under the base of the first and third toes of the length providing coverage of the head areas of the metatarsal and proximal phalanxes for installation into the pockets with the possibility of replacing the silicone inlays. First, ratios of the lengths of the first three metatarsal bones are determined and the longest bone is selected; each foot is placed in a fabric elastic protector tightly covering the foot. Inlays are inserted into pockets for bases of metatarsal bones of smaller length. Position on the demi-pointe is performed on two legs in a parallel position without using additional support with hands and on one leg. Presence of pain sensations and the possibility of maintaining balance are assessed, and in case of a negative result, the inserts are replaced until a subjective assessment is obtained by the criterion of “presence-absence” of pain and balance on one leg on the demi-pointe. Tread for the area of heads of metatarsal bones in a person with different length of metatarsal bones includes a fabric elastic sock with a length of not less than half the foot with holes for the foot and each toe and a set of silicone inlays of six types 1A; 2B; 3C; 4D; 5E; 6F shown in Fig. 2. At the sock on the inner plantar side at the toe holes there are two pockets for installation with the possibility of replacing the silicone inlays from the above set. One pocket is located at the hole of the first toe, and the second one – at the hole of the third toe. Length of pockets and inserts is configured to cover the area of heads of metatarsal and proximal phalanxes.
EFFECT: inventions provide protection of metatarsal bones and development of stability due to increased area of support on heads of metatarsal bones during performance of exercises with maximum extension of foot and extension in metatarsophalangeal joints in training children and adults.
