FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in production of thermal chemical current sources. Mica cutting machine comprises upper and lower shafts with drives, with installed on them disc knives and positioning devices, on which shafts are installed. Positioning devices include shaft bearings fixed in the support walls. Support walls are fixed on the bed and connected ties and stiffening ribs by bolted connections. Upper shaft is equipped with adjusting screws with hold-down springs. Knives are fixed on shafts by key connections, tightened by bushings and rings so that cutting surface of upper shaft blades falls into gap between rings of lower shaft. Knives are equipped with pullers in the form of rings installed on external surface of knives with a gap. Shafts rotation drive is made in the form of geared cylindrical wheels, which are in engagement, and a handle.

EFFECT: increasing the productivity of mica cutting by reducing the amount of waste associated with mica crumbling along the entire cutting line.
