FIELD: communication technique.
SUBSTANCE: in a method implemented by a terminal, a serving cell of the terminal is determined, wherein the serving cell is configured such that it is associated with a plurality of physical cells. Performing at least one of the following operations on the plurality of physical cells tuned to the serving cell: selection of physical cells which satisfy the determined condition from the plurality of physical cells for measurement purposes; or selecting physical cells satisfying a given condition from a plurality of physical cells for the purpose of evaluating a measurement event; or selection of physical cells satisfying a certain condition from a plurality of physical cells for the purpose of providing a measurement result.
EFFECT: possibility of coordinated interaction between a terminal and a network device with respect to measurement of physical cells associated with a serving cell of the terminal, which guarantees uninterrupted data transmission.
