FIELD: obtaining oil and gas from wells.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry, namely to packers separating borehole space and installed at the inlet. Packer of inlet module of downhole pump with electric drive includes housing with central channel and radial holes, on which self-sealing collar passing from top to bottom is fixed. Above and below the self-sealing collar on the body there are rigid centralisers with outer diameter which is 2-5 mm less than the minimum inner diameter of casing pipes, into which the packer is lowered, and at distance of 0.3-0.8 m from the self-sealing collar. Radial holes are made above the upper rigid centraliser for fluid overflow from inside the housing to the outside during pump operation. Self-sealing collar is made with a diameter equal to or greater than 3 mm of the minimum inner diameter of the casing pipes, and is equipped with a lower external lead-in chamfer with an angle at vertex of 60-90 degrees and a minimum diameter which is 2-4 mm less than the minimum inner diameter of the casing pipes.

EFFECT: providing simple and reliable design of packer with preservation of protection against external effects during tripping operations.
