FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in making thin-wall shells. Forming-rolling processing of tubular billet is performed with deforming rollers of triangular and/or trapezoidal profile. First roller in the direction of axial feed has equal front and rear angles of the profile and is installed with a gap between the top of its profile and the mandrel. Rollers following the first roller are installed in one plane of cross section with displacement of 1-5 mm in axial direction relative to the first roller in the direction of axial feed and with the same gap between the top of their profile and the mandrel. Said rollers feature identical profile, front angle of which makes 1.8-2.2 of rear and front angle of profile of the first deforming roller.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining shells with high accuracy of geometrical dimensions and high surface quality and increased wear resistance of the working surface of the deforming tool.
