FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry, namely to methods for quantitative determination of imidacloprid in biological material and food products, can be used in practice of environmental, chemical-toxicological laboratories and sanitary and epidemiological stations. Method of determining imidacloprid in a biological material consists in the fact that the analysed object is finely ground by a suitable method, thermal decomposition is carried out with an oxidising mixture until complete destruction of bonds of the analyte with the biomaterial and its hydrolysis. Further, the hydrolysis product is purified on a preparative column, the derivative is extracted with subsequent chromatography on a TLC plate, elution with methanol and quantitative determination by gas chromatography with electron capture detection.
EFFECT: possibility of achieving optimum degree of extraction, high accuracy, selectivity and sensitivity of determination.
