FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determination of degree of contact of materials and coatings with ice and frozen soil for development of anti-heath structures and structures. Device contains a cylindrical body, in the centre of which there is a sample of cylindrical shape, which is connected to the grips of the testing tensile machine. Space between the inner wall of the housing and the sample is filled with water/wet soil. Between the surface of the sample and the housing, foam plastic elements with weights are evenly placed; the total pore volume of the foam plastic elements must be at least 9% of the volume of water or soil. Value of adhesion freezing of the sample to water or soil is determined from the force of its vertical shear.
EFFECT: high reliability of determining adhesion freezing of materials and coatings to ice and wet soil.
